WordPress 6.0+ (tested up to 7.1), PHP 7.4+, the free Simple Post Publish & Rewrite using API plugin (version 2.0+), an OpenAI API key, a Telegram bot token from @BotFather, and a site reachable over HTTPS on the public internet.
Why do I need the Simple Post Publish & Rewrite using API plugin?+
It is our free companion plugin on WordPress.org and it handles the ChatGPT connection. You add your OpenAI API key there and choose the model (GPT-6, GPT-5 or GPT-4 families) and the prompts used for titles and rewrites.
Does it work on localhost?+
No. Telegram delivers messages to your site through a webhook, so the site must be publicly reachable over HTTPS. Use a staging or live site for testing.
Can several writers use the same bot?+
Yes. Every Author, Editor and Admin can connect their own Telegram account from their WordPress profile. Posts are created under their own WordPress account and respect their role's permissions.
Is it secure?+
Accounts are linked with a one-tap connection from the WordPress profile, so no passwords are ever typed into Telegram. The webhook is verified with Telegram's secret token, and admins get an activity log and a connected-users screen.
Can I send long articles or images?+
